In accordance with the mission, vision and values of the organization and in concert with the Director of Education/Dean of Colleges, the instructor serves as an educator, facilitator, consultant, researcher, and a leader to our employees, physicians, and community in providing educational programs to all specialty areas as needed.

Salary Range Based Candidates Level of Education. Those without Masters, may be considered if currently enrolled in a Masters Program.  Starting rate applies to anyone without a Masters or for under 3 years of teaching experience.

Qualifications EDUCATION: Minimum: • Master of Science in Nursing Education or Bachelor degree and actively pursuing Master of Science in Nursing Education with completion within 4 years in the position Preferred: • Master of Science with a major in Nursing/Education or doctorate in education or nursing LICENSE: Minimum • Current unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse licensure PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS: Minimum: • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required through the RQI system during clinical orientation. Preferred: • Certified Nurse Educator WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum: • 3 years clinical nursing experience Preferred: • Prior teaching experience in nursing education med surg., critical care, and/or psch, maternity SKILLS: Minimum: • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, multi-entity health system. • Ability to facilitate project management, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion. • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication (written and oral), analytical, and organizational skills. • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with the public in a professional and courteous manner. • Computer literacy required with word processing, spreadsheets. Preferred: • Previous experience with college of nursing accreditation (ACEN, CCNE).
