Data Manager

Your new position

You will serve as data manager for one or more clinical trials executed through CROs. You will provide end-to-end oversight of data management activities from trial start to database release, ensuring partners deliver clean, consistent, and regulatory-compliant clinical data on time. Thorough onboarding and mentoring will be provided, but the role requires comfort working with evolving priorities and limited work instructions.

We offer exciting responsibilities:

• Act as the primary data management point of contact in cross-functional trial teams
• Lead and oversee end-to-end data management activities from trial start to database release
• Contribute to protocol review, risk assessment, and CRO selection
• Review and approve data management documentation (e.g., timelines, EDC and external data specifications, edit check specifications, data management plans, and blinding plans)
• Plan and perform risk-based data review and chair internal data review meetings
• Track and communicate data metrics, risks and mitigation actions

Your profile                                                                                    

You bring strong analytical skills and a structured, risk-based approach. You are proactive, take ownership and can balance multiple activities and deadlines. You collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and communicate complex data topics clearly to a non-technical audience. You are pragmatic and solution oriented. In addition, you can tick the following:

• A master’s degree in life science
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within clinical trials and/or clinical data management from academia or pharmaceutical industry
• Experience planning data collection and handling data from experiments or trials
• Knowledge of GCP, EDC, laboratory data and data cleaning
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Experience with data visualization or dashboards is a plus

The Data Management team consists of 7 experienced data managers and is characterized by an engaged and collaborative atmosphere where everyone is empowered to work independently and support each other when needed. We are part of Biometrics and responsible for ensuring scientific validity, quality of clinical trial data, data standards and oversight of outsourced biometrics activities.
