Blockchain Associate (Independent Contractor)

Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is searching for a skilled team player to aid the Wolfram Blockchain Labs (WBL) team in achieving their goals. As a Blockchain Associate, you will be responsible for managing vital, weekly team operations processes, facilitating key projects in development and communicating with stakeholders, both internally and externally. Acting as a project manager, your tasks will include assisting the CEO, CTO and Head of Research in team projects. This includes aiding in the creation of marketing content; handling internal and external communications, such as website administration and customer relationship software; planning meetings with actionable follow-ups; and managing six-figure project proposals.
This role requires excellent research, presentation and communication abilities because you will be developing a key focus area to specialize in and launching a project. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, has a passion for technology and enjoys learning and discovery.
Responsibilities
- Owning weekly team operations responsibilities and facilitating key project developments
- Assisting in creating, maintaining and completing project plans
- Identifying, conveying and tracking project milestones
- Proactively maintaining the opportunity pipeline and roadmap with input from project stakeholders
- Preparing agendas for meetings and leading meetings as needed
- Collecting detailed notes from meetings with discussion details, decisions made, next steps and action items
- Researching, developing and producing an independent project to launch in furtherance of team goals
- Cultivating, interacting with and adding value to community-focused projects
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams within the company
- Monitoring self-performance and project metrics
Requirements
- High degree of initiative
- Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently
- Capacity to work with technical and product development teams
- Demonstrated experience and/or certification in project management
- Experience with or desire to learn customer relationship management (CRM) tools, such as SugarCRM
- Experience with or desire to learn project management tools, such as Jira
- Experience researching based on web tools, such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Crunchbase, PitchBook and ZoomInfo
- A team player who can add value and help accelerate the completion of team projects
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Fluent in English
