Practical Law, a division of Thomson Reuters, is looking for a summer intern who has completed their first or second year at an ABA-accredited law school for Summer 2024 to work with our Data Privacy & Cybersecurity team.
This internship will be fully remote and the pay is $20/hr.

About the Role

  • In this opportunity as a Practical Law Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Summer Intern, you will: 
  • Conduct legal research on various issues relating to privacy and data security globally.
  • Engage in quality assurance with respect to Practical Law content.
  • Assist editors in writing new content and current awareness.
  • Summarize changes to primary law.
  • Provide additional support, as needed.


About You

  • You’re a fit for the role of a Practical Law Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Summer Intern if you:
  • Demonstrate strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate an ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and express complex legal material quickly and accurately.
  • Have an impressive command of grammar, punctuation, and plain English.
  • Consistently pay strong attention to detail and have good organizational skills.
  • Can work independently, consistently meet deadlines, and achieve individual objectives within larger team projects.
  • Have experience using Westlaw and Microsoft Office products.
  • Have experience or an interest in data privacy or cybersecurity law.
