The Payment Channel Intern would serve to assist with the growing number of disputes from clients due to BIN attacks. While the bank is looking at technology to help automate and streamline the process, the intern role would bridge the gap while this technology is investigated and implemented.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Payment Channel team with intake of client Regulation E disputes.
- Process, track, and finalize all Regulation E disputes.
- Pay close attention to quality control on daily issued debit card file.
- Monitor daily reports pertaining to disputes and compromised cards all while taking appropriate action based on the reports.
- Develop an understanding of Regulation E and client electronic payment disputes.
- Develop an understanding of the fraud monitoring process as it pertains to debit cards and Reg E.
- Assist internal departments as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or pursuing an associate degree.
- Experience with providing excellent customer service.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Ability to meet deadlines and highly organized.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
