Job Description Summary

Plans and conducts basic experiments to meet research project objectives, with close supervision. Assists in performing laboratory experiments and clinical studies for product or material formulation and development. Daily management of laboratory tools, documentations and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of project/program deliverables.

Research Specialist A Duties:

Under general supervision, the Research Specialist A will:

  • Assist principal investigator with immunophenotyping experiments using mouse models of HPV+ HNSCC.
  • Assist lab manager with maintaining mouse colony including help with breeding and genotyping.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Research Specialist A Qualifications:

Research Specialist A- Bachelor's Degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

In addition to the above responsibilities, the Research Specialist B is expected to develop novel solutions to research questions in addition to employing the established methods. Technology development and troubleshooting will be expected as well as independently planning experiments with minimal oversight.

Research Specialist B Duties & Qualifications:

Research Specialist B- Bachelor's Degree and 1 year to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Additional duties will include:

  • Assist other lab personnel with mouse experiments, including injections of tumor cells, T cells, and chemotherapeutic agents, tumor measurements, and harvesting of mouse tumors, blood, marrow, and lymphoid organs.
