Position Summary

For children and youth needing out-of-home placement after hours, matches the needs of children and youth with caregivers who are best suited to meet each child's unique needs. Under the direction of the supervisor, functions as a member of the after-hours team, collaborating closely with caseworkers and the Placement Referral Unit. Ensures timely and well-coordinated foster placements and respite and the best use of limited placement resources.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field required.
  • Child Welfare experience and Foster Care Licensing and placement experience preferred.
  • Experience working with families of diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds strongly preferred.
  • Strong internal and external verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills required. WiSACWIS experience preferred.
