SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-ValleyPosition Overview:
Responsible for the management of workers' compensation claims for assigned self-insured affiliates. Manages claims from time reported until resolution. Works in a team environment with technical specialists, supervisor, claim manager and affiliate representatives. Partners with medical providers, and risk management professionals to ensure integration of claim issues.Job Description:
This position is available to work from home. There are occasions where you will need to come on site as needed
EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma
Bachelor's
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
SIP Certificate exam within 36 months of hire
Successful completion of an IEA Certificate within 18 months of hire
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
5 years recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of California Workers’ Compensation law.
Must have on the job and classroom training, experience and knowledge surrounding California’s Labor Code, estimating workers’ compensation costs, permanent disability rating and medical terminology.
Proven oral and written communication skills. Communications must reflect knowledge of grammar in English composition and acceptable business letter format, as well as, industry jargon.
Ability to ensure compliance with Standard Work and Claims Management Standards.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.
Ability to work independently, maintain a balance of work priorities and complete assignments within established timeframes.
Analytical skills, the ability to draw valid conclusions, and formulate sound recommendations.
Organizational and planning skills, and the ability to manage and coordinate the activities related to an assigned caseload and the payment of workers’ compensation claims.
Ability to work with diverse health and administrative professionals at all organizational levels.
Computer literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Pay Range is $44.28 to $66.42 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
