You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: Specialized Experience for the GS-14, you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: - Providing leadership and direction in the areas of information security, industrial security, personnel security, operations security, and security administration of programs; AND - Directing and supervising the design, formulation, and establishment of policies, procedures and systems pertaining to personnel security, information security, industrial security, and operations security; AND - Providing technical advice and assistance concerning security protocols, management policies and procedures, investigative standards, security systems, and credentialing requirements; AND - Applying suitability and national security concepts, principles, and practices. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
