VCA Woodstock Animal Hospital located in Portland, Oregon is looking for an Experienced Veterinary Assistant or Certified Veterinary Assistants to join their 3-doctor Small Animal Practice!
We are seeking experienced (1 years minimum in a veterinary facility) Veterinary Assistant (or CVA) to provide excellent patient care with a focus on wellness and client education.
Schedule: Full-time opportunity. Flexible scheduling. Typically, 4/10’s with rotating weekends.
Compensation: Starting at $21 – 25 / hour. Pay dependent on experience.

The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:
- Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
- Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
- Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
- Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
- Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized animals.
- Maintaining medical records.
- Assisting our wonderful Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
- Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
