Senior Quality Engineer

If you are an established Quality Engineer, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Located in our Sidney, OH location. You will collaborate with multi-functional groups and teams to provide quality mentorship and support for new and existing products, along with statistical/data analysis and customer PPAP support. In this role, you will be encouraged to work with internal and external customers to resolve product or process-related issues and facilitate problem-solving meetings. You will develop quality processes, systems, and methods associated with compressors, electro-mechanical products, and associated sub-systems. Travel to Copeland manufacturing plants is required for support, training, and new product development pilot builds.
As a SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEER, You Will:
- Work on Process optimization
- Validate prototype and production processes, methods, gauges and instrumentation
- Generate Quality plans
- Perform data collection and analysis
- Perform Measurement System Analysis
- Develop and present technical updates to cross-functional teams, business unit leaders, and customers
- Develop Process and Value Stream maps
- Participate in DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plan development
- Support Plant Audits (ISO 9001:2015)
- Work with plant Quality teams to resolve internal processes or supplier material issues
- Review and approve Customer PPAP documentation submitted by the manufacturing plants
- Use appropriate Quality tools for problem solving (Copeland Business System, Six-Sigma, 8D)

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- B.S. in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Controls or Electrical Engineering
- ASQ Certified Green Belt or equivalent
- 7 - 8 years of experience with high-volume assembly
- Proficient with ASME 14.5Y Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- At least 3 years in a Quality engineering role
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with medium to high-volume production
- Proficient with Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Knowledge of Minitab or other statistical software packages
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or similar
- Familiar with the use of PLM systems such as Team Center or Agile
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Work Authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- ASQ CQE and/or CQA
- New Product Development and Introduction
- Solid understanding of APQP process and PPAP requirements
- Working knowledge of Tableau, DOMO, or Power BI analytics applications
Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to two days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
