About the Team & Opportunity
innovaTel is looking for a full-time Psychiatrist who is passionate about our mission of delivering speed to quality mental health care for all. This is a fully remote telehealth position working with pediatric patients in a children’s hospital setting located in the Philadelphia area. We provide a tremendous amount of support to our clinical team and want our clinicians to be able to focus on what’s most important - patient care. Come join our exceptional team!
This is a full-time remote role. Candidates who are located close to Philadelphia and have the ability to be on-site on a very occasional basis will be given priority.
Role Details
- Expected hours:
- 40 hours per week
- Role location:
- Remote. If candidates have the ability to be on-site in the Philadelphia area on a very occasional basis, that is a plus
- Patient population:
- Pediatrics at a children’s hospital
- Required licenses:
- New Jersey and Pennsylvania. If a candidate possesses only one of these licenses, we will consider cross-licensing in the other state
Accountabilities
- Provide effective management of psychiatric care including initial psychiatric evaluations and medication management reviews in accordance with established clinical guidelines
- Develop a strong rapport with a diverse set of patients (socioeconomic status, sexual orientation etc.) exclusively through the telehealth modality
- Uphold clinical customer service through the delivery of prompt and empathetic care
- Formulate treatment plans in collaboration with the on-site clinical team
- Document concurrently all clinical findings and services provided in the electronic medical record as required by compliance standards
- Be present and available on-screen for the duration of the contracted hours
Minimum Qualifications
- Active Doctorate (MD / DO) Required
- Active New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania medical licenses in good standing
- Board Certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication with an emphasis on clarity and compassion
- Previous telemedicine experience and skilled at using online tools and technology to deliver care and communicate with patients
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania
- Ability to be on-site on a very occasional basis in the Philadelphia area
- Experienced in caring for patients with Serious Mental Illness
- Flexibility and ability to adjust to needs of clinic partners (e.g., same-day appointments, patients in crisis, technology outages, etc.)
