Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure stable operation of in-house software systems and network connections by planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all network software and communications.
  • Conduct system administration activities including general maintenance, upgrades, and deployments of servers and enterprise applications.
  • Manage and direct the configuration and operation of enterprise information systems to meet organizational performance goals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve end user software issues, connectivity problems, and service interruptions across local and remote environments.
  • Analyze system capacity and performance, making recommendations for configuration changes or system upgrades as needed.
  • Implement automation tools and scripts to increase the accuracy and efficiency of system administration tasks.
  • Develop and maintain system administration procedures and conduct training and skill assessments for system admin staff.
  • Provide end-user training and technical support to enhance system usability and understanding.
  • Lead and supervise other system administrators in day-to-day support operations, including system optimization and user support.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge of application networking to ensure load balancing, fault tolerance, and high availability.
  • Perform vulnerability management, applying patches and remediation in compliance with cybersecurity standards.
  • Align system architecture and infrastructure with strategic business and technology objectives.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of specialized experience in Information Processing, with a focus on diverse hardware/software solutions.
  • At least 4 years of direct, hands-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software systems.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.

 

Clearance

  • Top Secret - IT-I Critical Sensitive clearance or Tier 5 (T5).
