Role and Responsibilities 

 

  • The Systems Inventory Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for developing and implementing a statewide system and application inventory and tracking program. 
  • Develop a comprehensive statewide inventory of systems, applications, cloud services, data, and AI-related applications.
  • Identify and document system interconnections, analyse existing system inventory documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, executive orders, and department standards.
  • Prepare system/application inventory policies and AI system guidance.
  • Conduct risk and impact assessments, particularly for AI systems.
  • Provide weekly updates on scope, budget, and schedule status, develop project plans, roadmaps, and timelines, coordinate with stakeholders on program status, risks, and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with IT project laws, regulations, policies, and standards. 

Minimum Qualification

 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Management, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Current Project Management Certification (i.e., PMP) 

Required Experience: 

  • At least five (5) years proven experience in Technology (IT) Project Management or an additional two (2) years’ experience in substitution of a degree. 
  • At least two (2) years’ experience: 

o Designing, developing, and implementing IT processes, services, and capabilities. 

o Developing or supporting system and application inventory engagements. 

o Developing risk and impact assessments. 

Relevant Project Management Certification (i.e., PMP) 

Preferred Qualification

  • At least five (5) years of experience managing IT-related projects and must demonstrate a leadership role in at least three (3) successful projects that were delivered on time and on budget.
  • Experience performing project activities in alignment with NIST Standards. 
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies and regulations and compliance requirements. 
  • Additional Project Management or related certifications.
