Remote PRN Physical Therapy Opportunity

Are you interested in providing your expertise in Physical Therapy by doing Utilization Review (Reviewing Medical Insurance cases)? We are looking for a Physical Therapist, to review Prior Authorizations for treatment on a very part-time (1099-Independent Contractor) basis.

Medical Review Institute of America, LLC (MRIoA) is a national Independent Review Organization, ensuring accurate and timely clinical determinations are produced on behalf of our clients (Payors of healthcare costs). Utilizing your clinical knowledge, in conjunction with healthcare plan criteria and nationally recognized medical guidelines, you would evaluate and adjudicate clinical services requests. You would also engage in peer-to-peer outreach with treating providers, as appropriate.

• Are you interested in learning more about how to get your own Prior Authorizations for treatment approved?
• Flexible schedule. Work when you want! You can easily let us know your availability for reviewing cases.
• Most MRIoA reviewers average 1-2 hours per week.
• Cases typically take 30-35 minutes to complete; you are paid per case completed.
• Cases often involve a Peer-to-Peer conversation with the treating provider to obtain clarification when necessary. There is additional compensation for peer-to-peer calls.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• You will be covered under MRIoA’s Errors and Omissions policy (traditional Malpractice Insurance is not applicable for review work)

• Work anywhere within the USA

• Non-employed Independent Contractor (1099) opportunity.

Requirements

• Must be actively practicing (direct patient care in the area of review work) a minimum of 8 hours a week, on average.
• Must have at least 5 years of Physical Therapy experience, as a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Must have recent experience working with children.
• Must have an unencumbered state license to provide Physical Therapy care.
• Must have solid computer navigation skill.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or hold a Green Card (we are unable to sponsor a VISA)
• Must reside in the U.S.
