Purpose
This position will support the US Rare Disease Market Access team in developing, implementing, and analyzing contracting strategies across all customer segments, including Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, VA/DOD & 340B. In addition, the Director will assist in the development of models to assess policy impacts in an evolving government landscape and build out Market Access analytics using internal hub data and external data sources.
This position will report directly into the Head, US Market Access, Pricing, Marketing & Reimbursement.
Main Responsibilities
• Develop payer contract strategies & data requirements for both current and future products in conjunction with Market Access team cross functional partners.
• Assist in developing and implementing all Commercial and Government contracts for Chiesi US Global Rare Disease Products, where appropriate.
• Design and develop tools for contract proposal evaluation.
• Serve as liaison with customers and internal teams (Legal, Market Access, Sales, and Finance) in creating, executing, and managing pricing strategies & contracts.
• Works closely with Forecasting to model GTN impact of contracts and overall contract impact projections long term
• Responsible for staying up to date and current on Market Access related policies along with outside vendors and perform analysis of impact of policies to Rare disease products
• Create contract performance reporting to monitor and assess customer contracts.
• Lead contractual negotiations with National Account Directors and conduct regular business updates with stakeholders on all contracted accounts (Commercial or Government accounts)
• Evaluate, execute, and maintain Federal contractual agreements-Federal Supply Schedule, Tricare/DOD & 340B
• Oversees the calculation, review, and reporting of statutory government price calculations, including Medicaid, Medicare, PHS/340B, VA/DOD pricing, and any other government pricing metrics that may be required.
• Oversees Specialty Distributors and Specialty Pharmacy agreements and ensuring accurate contracting and reporting
• Oversee and approve the reporting of State Price Transparency requirements in conjunction with outside vendors or internally, to ensure compliance with all state regulations
