Position Summary...
The Senior Manager, Earnings Operations leads day-to-day operational execution to support accurate and timely earnings outcomes. This role oversees earnings investigations, identifies defects, and conducts root cause analysis to resolve issues and reduce repeat occurrences. Using data-driven insights, the position monitors trends, assesses risk, and recommends process improvements to strengthen operational performance. Partnering cross-functionally with finance, product, and operations teams, the Senior Manager supports the evolution of earnings processes, controls, and scalability. The role manages priorities, resources, and performance expectations while developing team capability through coaching, accountability, and adherence to company policies and ethical standards.The Earnings Governance team within Last Mile Delivery Trust & Safety ensures transparent and compliant earnings for Spark drivers by analyzing data and governing earnings models. The team collaborates closely with Product, Legal, Operations, and Finance to develop policies that promote consistency and responsible growth. Focused on operational excellence and clear communication, the team supports strategic decisions that enhance driver trust and strengthen Walmart’s Last Mile delivery network. By leveraging business analysis and cross-functional leadership, the team drives impactful results and maintains high standards across all initiatives.
What you'll do...
- Lead and manage earnings operations workstreams, ensuring timely investigation, resolution, and closure of issues impacting earnings accuracy.
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, defects, and risks, providing actionable insights to support prioritization and decision-making.
- Perform root cause analysis and drive process and control improvements to reduce defects, rework, and manual effort.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Product, and Operations teams to resolve issues, clarify ownership, and remove execution barriers.
- Lead, mentor, and develop associates, fostering a high-performing team environment with clear performance expectations.
- Promote continuous improvement by leveraging best practices and innovative solutions across operations.
