Equipment Mechanic

Wasatch Electric is currently hiring for an Equipment Mechanic to assist with the repair and maintenance of heavy construction equipment and vehicles at the Carson City, NV location. Must be able to travel and be familiar with all types of construction equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, as well as expertise in hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities:

Responsible to assist with the repair and maintenance of diesel and gasoline powered heavy equipment and vehicles.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Demonstrates mechanic skills/experience-specific to heavy equipment
• Minimum of five years experience in diesel mechanics
• Dependable work schedule shift
• Good driving record, ability to pass DOT medical exam
• CDL License preferred
• Knowledge of electric over hydraulic systems
• Welding capabilities
