Job Summary
The Associate Licensing Manager is responsible for the revenue growth of assigned franchises across traditional consumer products categories and is an integral team member responsible for management of the day-to-day business. The associate will support the Licensing team and become the expert on the merchandise for assigned brands. The Associate will help develop strategic merchandise licensing programs, including line-planning. Additionally, the Associate will meet with partners, and work with Product Development to resolve any approvals issues. You will report to the Associate Director, LATAM & APAC Licensing.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:

Day to day management of business and licensees including:

Responsible for collecting licensee product information, sales/POS, and other data or materials. Maintain licensees lists and monitor term dates

Assist with industry, product, data, and market research and trends; prepare summaries to communicate findings to licensing team

Manage the coordination of calendars for events and some meetings; assists in event planning and sales materials

Ensure licensee compliance with Crunchyroll guidelines and contractual standards. Provide regular updates/reporting about the status of licensees and important issues

Help with licensee communications for relevant needs, on- and offboarding, sales and product reports

Communicate with partners to schedule business reviews, status calls, etc

Legal Support: Track progress of contract renewals, drafts and amendments

Support Legal team efforts to remove unauthorized products. Manage counterfeit products and submit/monitor requests

Event Planning & Tradeshows: participate and help plan and attendance of annual Licensing Summits, Licensing Show, Toy Fair and other trade shows and events to ensure all events are ready-to-use

Maintain master calendars with important beats and product launch details

Ensure compliance and accuracy of licensee proposal forms and oversee tracking and approvals

Manage information flow and support submission preparation for main licensors

Explain complex concepts to achieve shared understanding and obtain approvals with licensors

In partnership with the Product Development team, help project manage approvals

Manage IP sensitive assets, approval guidelines, and delivery to partners

Oversee creative/concept review meetings and manage submissions processes

Anticipate risks with each program that may improve project implementation; highlight any outstanding items or challenges

The minimum qualifications and requirements for this position include:

Project management skills, organized
-
Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience - consumer products, licensing, retail

Fluent/high proficiency with Spanish (Brazilian Portuguese is a plus)

Office, PowerPoint or Keynote, Google Suite

Photoshop and/or InDesign experience

Completed Bachelor's degree

Gaming / video game experience and or passion a plus

Interest in anime, pop culture, retail and products

Fluent/high proficiency with English and Japanese (spoken and written)

Highly organized with strong follow through and time management skills
