Job Description

This key role will support the setup and implementation of a global, scalable, sustainable process for Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) across Chromalloy. You will work with account managers, operations personnel, financial analysts and senior leadership as we continue to define and develop SIOP to support an integrated business planning approach. Success in this role demands both hands-on effort to work through low level details as well as a high-level creative and analytical mindset to promote information flow and facilitate decision making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/TASKS:

  • Gather, sanitize and validate historical data and forecast inputs (both internal and external data) to support best demand forecast possible.
  • Aggregate and disaggregate forecast and supply data to help key stakeholders make informed decisions.
  • Use recognized statistical modeling metrics, KPIs, such as forecast accuracy and Mean Absolute Percent Error (MAPE).
  • Enhance existing and develop new capabilities and tools to support the process.
  • Collaborate with the Account Manager and Strategic Sales Support teams to quantify customer and market data/trends.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to document and analyze supply chain data/changes.
  • Drive transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement through solutions to track key assumptions, inputs, and outputs.
  • Develop “what-If” scenarios that contemplate the impacts of changes to demand and supply assumptions and translate those impacts to the financials.
  • Participate in the monthly SIOP cycle and help drive adoption across the organization.
  • Identify obstacles and roadblocks to implementing SIOP, develop and communicate possible solutions.
  • Develop and deliver training on the overall SIOP process.

Qualifications

Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Aerospace, Energy or similar industry involved with manufacture and/or repair of highly engineered products. Previous experience in a shop floor operations role, data analytics role, or customer facing position is desired. Proven ability to interface effectively with other functions within a complex organization.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Computer Science or Finance
