POSITION: Graduate Assistant for Institutional Research

SUPERVISOR: Director of Institutional Research

DEPARTMENT:  Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment


GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Tiffin University seeks a Graduate Assistant to assist in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment. The position assists the Dean, Director, and Data Analyst with database management, survey administration, data collection, and the construction of reports. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Dean, Director, Data Analyst, and other university stakeholders. This position requires strong communication skills, extreme attention to detail, and a high level of comfort working with numbers and datasets. Preferred candidates will be self-motivated and capable of managing tasks independently. 


NOTE: Position to begin January 2025 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES FOR THE JOB

Education: 

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. 

Experience:

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with experience working on data-driven projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data in simple terms.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting, staying on task and meeting deadlines without direct supervision.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with organizing and analyzing large datasets.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of data collection and reporting. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A self-starter with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new software and data analysis techniques.
