Job Purpose:

The Lead Application Support Specialist serves as subject matter expert and as primary consultant to both customers and coworkers for all Fujifilm Clinical Information Systems products.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Clinical Duties include but are not limited to the following:
    • Analyzes and designs clinical workflow and utilizes change management techniques to facilitate process improvement to customers utilizing the Synapse EIS products.
    • Creates and provides customer focused training materials and courses on the Synapse EIS product family.
    • Serve as a mentor and reference to internal Fujifilm resources
  • Technical Duties include but are not limited to the following:
    • Highly proficient in the HL-7 standard and interface design
    • Competent with database design and SQL query for Oracle and MSSQL
    • Able to lead and design database migration projects from disparate systems
    • Understand troubleshooting methodologies for Microsoft server and IIS web hosting, Cloud hosting, and Microsoft Services
  • Radiology business duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
    • Provide basic business analytics and data mining techniques to obtain required management reporting and trending using standard SQL query and database architecture of Fujifilm EIS products.
    • Proficient in HIPAA requirements and how they apply to Radiology applications providing consulting services to Fujifilm customers on the topic.
    • Required to have working knowledge of medical billing terminology, imaging patient workflow and efficiency, and business level reporting needs of Imaging Center, Hospital, and private practice operations.
    • Reviews, interprets, and monitors regulatory requirements as mandated by local, state, and federal rules and Imaging Practice guidelines. Ensures that regulatory requirements are respected and practiced as part of HCUS product offerings.
  • Continuous process improvement
    • Must participate in and lead Software quality control for release process
    • Must participate in regular teaching of Fujifilm employees of new offerings and processes with Fujifilm products
    • Assist management in business reporting needs
    • Serves as a Leader within Enterprise Information Systems Implementation team
  • Other Duties include but are not limited to the following:
    • Actively participates in pre and post sales engagements with deliverables including needs analysis, strategic roadmaps, and detailed process designs.
    • Assists in product roadmap definition and clarification of needed feature functionality of software to meet customer needs.
    • Manages client expectations to ensure customer satisfaction. This position can include both implementation as well as post go live follow up.
    • Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.
  • Maintains a safe work environment. Takes corrective action, where appropriate.
  • Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience Requirements
    • 9 years of experience in related Diagnostic Imaging or imaging Informatics disciplines
    • 5 years’ healthcare technology implementations and/or management to include HL-7, Database experie
