Elastic is seeking a US Public Sector Strategic Programs Account Executive to expand our footprint throughout the DOD. The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in military operations, an understanding of defense acquisition processes, and a passion for solving complex challenges with innovative technology.
Key Responsibilities:

• Drive Elastic's sales strategy for Strategic Programs, delivering tailored solutions for operational and cybersecurity needs.
• Cultivate relationships with military and defense leaders, identifying opportunities to support mission success with Elastic’s products.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders and system integrators to design and implement Elastic solutions for joint and multi-domain operations.
• Partner with internal teams to craft compelling proposals and ensure alignment with federal acquisition requirements.
• Stay abreast of evolving mission priorities, defense funding trends, and technological advancements.
• Represent Elastic at defense industry events, briefings, and conferences to showcase capabilities and build partnerships.

Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of DOD missions, Combatant Command structures, and operational requirements.
• Proven success in defense sales, business development, or program management within the public sector.
• Familiarity with Security Operations Centers (SOCs), data analytics, and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions into mission value.
• Experience navigating federal procurement processes and contracting vehicles.
• Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one is strongly preferred.

Preferred Background:

• Military experience or prior collaboration with DOD stakeholders.
• Expertise in operational planning, cybersecurity, or data analytics within defense environments.

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary plus a variable component, that together comprise the On-Target Earnings (OTE).  On-Target Earnings (OTE) are based on a 50/50 pay mix (base salary / target variable).
