About The Role

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and reporting of financial data by verifying transaction in SAP. Duties may include preparing financial statements, examining, and analyzing the accounts and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures. This role is based in our Jersey City office on a hybrid working model. 

Responsibilities:

• Analyze monthly financial statements for multiple entities

• Prepare monthly accounting entries for the management and financial accounts

• Maintain reconciliations between financial systems, to substantiate / validate the numbers being reported

• Analyze various balance sheet accounts and reconcile to subsidiary ledger

• Reconcile general ledger balances to sub-ledger for non-SAP entities

• Verify and submit consolidation reporting in Hyperion system

• Respond to inquiries/requests from Consolidations Group

• Assist in preparation and completion of annual audits by external auditors

• Assist in income tax preparation by external tax department 

• Perform related duties and special projects as required

Experience, skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with a 5+ years of experience as an accountant

• Proficiency with Excel required

• Experience with SAP required

• Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management preferred

• Strong accounting skills and willing to work with minimal supervision

• Good knowledge with IFRS accounting standards

• High level of attention to detail and analytical skills

• Problem solving ability and good organization skills

• Efficiently manages workload and projects within set timelines

US Annualized Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000. The salary offer may vary based on work experience, education, skill level and equity. The US salary range does not align with the salary ranges in other countries when converted to the currency of that country.
