Job Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Ground Segment. In this role, you will be supporting factory ground segment Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) activities for an operational mission to include hands-on troubleshooting, regression testing and verification. You will also interact and communicate with mission operations personnel to assist, plan, and troubleshoot activities.

Responsibilities to Anticipate

  • Interacting with O&M personnel to understand and resolve issues and problems
  • Decomposing requirements, defining system interfaces, and helping determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team
  • Provide engineering support and technical direction for the implementation of a portion of the programs test Program
  • Provide verification and validation and regression testing support across all deliverable releases 

This position is an onsite role at our Aurora, CO (Denver area) campus

Basic Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Engineering, or related Technical field with a minimum 10+ years' relevant or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulation
  • Active and transferable Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Antenna and Ground equipment Hardware familiarity
  • Experience with Equinox Software Products, RTX Eclipse experience highly preferred
  • Systems Integration and/or Test Engineering experience on a large government software development contract
  • Experience with test verification of requirements and integration and test procedures and plans

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Satellite Command and Control, Mission Planning and Scheduling domain
  • Experience with L, S and X bands
  • Experience leading engineering teams working with requirements
  • Experience working in a multi-discipline environment and familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps development methods
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate status, issues, and resolution plans across all major stakeholders during factory SEIT activities
  • Familiarity with automation techniques
  • Experience with Operations and Maintenance Activities
