Job Description:
We are in search of a driven and passionate Embedded Systems & Software Engineering Co-Op who is eager to dive into the worlds of software and hardware. This opportunity is perfect for students pursuing a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field who have ventured into the realms of Linux and embedded systems and are looking to excel in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and .NET and Linux and embedded systems.
If you're someone who thrives on tinkering, exploring new technologies, reverse engineering, and engaging in rapid prototyping, this role will empower you to elevate your skills to new heights.
This role will be reporting to the systems engineering team as part of the Integrated Systems Test group.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside our engineering team under the direction of senior-level engineers to set up, develop, and debug innovative technological solutions.
- Assist in the development, testing, and analysis of computer systems, including rapid prototyping and reverse engineering activities.
- Develop software and computer solutions using resourcefulness and creativity while learning good engineering practices.
- Evaluating Requirements, creating designs, test scripts, and prototypes using software technologies and coding.
- Work with a variety of technologies, including Linux, virtualization, FPGA, embedded development kits, memory-mapped IO, C++, Python, oscilloscopes, protocols like PCIe or USB, and other serial interfaces.
Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related technical field.
- A demonstrated ability to learn, break down problems, solve them, be resourceful, and find answers.
- A demonstrated enthusiasm for development with Linux with experience tinkering and exploring new technologies outside of education and coursework.
- Experienced with C/C++, Python, and other programming languages.
- Hands-on hardware exposure with basic knowledge of software
