We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Executive Director in IM Operations to provide Transformational Leadership into definition and design of MSIM Strategic Operating model including evolving multi-year Operations strategy.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Executive Director level position within Change, Analytics & Strategy, which is responsible for developing operating and technology strategies, managing and executing transformation initiatives, leading Agile fleet activities, driving innovation, developing analytics solutions and delivering business outcomes.

What you’ll do in the role:
• Set the vision for the direction of your team in conjunction with global peer group ensuring consistent execution, strong control framework, business enablement and process adherence within all local regulations
• Take responsibility for talent acquisition, developing a bench of talent, and creating a plan for succession
• Run the operation as a business by considering client service needs, cost effectiveness and the department’s automation and efficiency agenda
• Partner directly with peers across Business Units and / or external stakeholders to provide input and execute on strategy and future state of their respective group
• Accountable over defined portfolio of Strategic Transformation Initiatives; within specific platforms and/or cross platform where specified for shared strategic opportunities (Automation, Data Strategy) including execution of assigned strategic book of work
• Partner with Change the Bank, Technology, and other stakeholders' divisions to deliver on key aspects of supported projects
• Front leading within industry; connectivity with industry tools/opportunities in support of strategic platform landscape opportunities
• Accountable for portfolio financials & related program budget; inclusive Return on Investment (ROI) driving funding and related benefits definition & related governance for portfolio of programs under ownership
• Development of projects/programs to deliver on associated Platform(s) strategy and related business outcomes
What you’ll bring to the role:
• Can convey trust and confidence to influence stakeholders in the decision-making process to affect strategy and prepared to challenge where necessary
• Sound judgment without compromising control
• Role model that advocates for your team, motivates and engages staff to achieve vision and inspire respect; supports and promotes the Firm’s vision and values
• 10+ years of experience in Financial Services industry, Investment Management and/or Operations Knowledge a plus
• Strong experience with Design Thinking & Ideation
• Experience in leading virtual teams
• Strong collaborative leadership abilities
• Superior communication skills, able to message & present complex matters
• Passionate about Transformation & Innovation
• Strong working knowledge and experience in Agile as a method for program delivery
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Business

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $215,000 and $240,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individu
