The Role

As a Value Stream Leader / Production Supervisor, you'll oversee daily manufacturing operations, lead production teams, and ensure performance targets are met across safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You'll work closely with Engineering, Quality, HR, and other departments to keep things moving while building an engaged and productive team.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being visible on the shop floor, rolling up their sleeves when needed, and leading by example rather than from behind a desk.

What You'll Do

  • Lead day-to-day production activities within assigned areas and shifts
  • Coach, develop, and support production employees through effective leadership and training
  • Plan and coordinate work schedules to meet production and customer requirements
  • Monitor performance metrics and analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects
  • Implement and sustain 6S activities across the operation
  • Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate equipment maintenance activities
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, HR, and other departments to achieve operational goals
  • Manage labor utilization and associated costs
  • Support employee engagement, communication, and positive employee relations
  • Participate in cross-functional improvement teams
  • Promote a strong safety culture through hazard identification, risk assessments, and employee involvement
  • Communicate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization

Qualifications

About You / What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma required; degree in Business, Engineering, Technical Studies, or a related field preferred
  • Five or more years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working within a Lean Manufacturing culture and applying Lean tools
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operations
  • Experience managing employee payroll transactions and approvals
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to lead teams, build engagement, and deliver results
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make sound decisions
  • A self-motivated, hands-on leadership style
  • Ability to work independently and remain effective under pressure
  • Commitment to safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to clearly present information both verbally and in writing
