TITLE:     Mgr Data Analytics and Reporting
REPORTS TO:         Director, OT Data Analytics and Strategy
COMPANY:        Tampa Electric Company

POSITION CONCEPT
The Mgr Data Analytics and Reporting leads a team providing enterprise data, analytics, and reporting solutions. Establishes and refines data strategies in collaboration with architects and product owners and promotes strategies to business partners.  Oversees the team delivering advanced analytics solutions using both on-premises and cloud platforms, enhances digitization and business transformation. Provides leadership for data driven analytics and deploys toolsets across traditional and agile development activities.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
1.    Establish and lead the direction of the data, analytics, and reporting strategy involving collaboration with architects, product owners and support team members to bring big data projects from discovery phases into production. Manages all aspects of delivery (designing, building, pricing, and enhancing the service), and cost recovery.  (30%)

2.    Manages resources and budget levels to meet strategic objectives and operational needs.  Recommends and/or approves employment decisions (e.g., hiring, promotion, appropriate pay, rewards/recognition, succession planning, and termination).  Manages employee performance and provides performance feedback to matrixed report’s performance coach.  Establishes performance expectations and goals aligned with Company objectives, policies, and procedures.  Manages, trains, and develops staff by providing timely feedback, coaching and support. (20%)

3.    Consolidates and assesses performance metrics reports across service providers and develops recommendations for cross service providers’ improvements. (20%)
4.    Develops and maintains contractual agreements and performance management best practices and mechanisms (for example – SOWs, SLAs, etc.). (10%)

5.    Partners with the business and other operational towers within OT and IT (Infrastructure, Security, Service Integration, etc.) and with management from other organizations (Cyber Security, IT Risk and Compliance, etc.). Collaborates with the enterprise architecture team to ensure that the data management principles and governance are aligned to the strategy. (10%)

6.    Demonstrates Company values through decisions and actions.  Promotes the Company’s safety culture to ensure a safe work environment. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.  (10%)

Direct:         Data Engineers, Data Architects

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Education/Training:

Required:     Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field

Preferred:     Advanced degree in Business Administration or related field 


Related Experience:

Required:     8 years of direct work experience performing the Dut
