Position: Developmental Therapist- Madison, IN

Location: 2420 Wilson Ave., Madison IN

Schedule: on an as needed basis; Monday-Friday no weekends

Compensation: starting at $45.00/hour

 

KORT Physical Therapy is seeking a Developmental Therapist to join our fun, collaborative multi-disciplinary team in Madison, IN! The Developmental Therapist is instrumental in the planning, evaluating, and implementation of developmental therapy treatment programs and activities for pediatric patients. 

 

Requirement: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education

 

Responsibilities

• Plans, conducts, and evaluates developmental therapy treatment/intervention programs and activities.
• Interprets physician referrals and determines appropriate treatment procedures.
• Makes recommendations concerning standardized treatments or intervention based on developmental indications.
• Completes patient treatments related to various physical skills and functional abilities.
• Interprets results and proposes a treatment/intervention plan in conjunction with other team members, including short and long range goals, frequency and duration.
• Provides treatment/intervention according to the prescribed plan, including task oriented activities, neuro-motor activities, and patient/family counseling and activities.
• Evaluates patient response to treatment/ intervention and makes recommendations on changes in treatment as required.
• Maintains records concerning treatment/intervention provided, including both subjective and objective data.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, or higher, in Early Childhood Education, special education, elementary education, developmentalpsychology or related fields is required.
• Credentialed/licensed for Developmental Therapy in stateof IN

Preferred Qualifications:

• First Steps experience
