The Operator ll is responsible for manufacturing quality product according to the work order or other build signal while adhering to defined work instructions. General duties may include picking, assembling, and packaging. Machine set-up and equipment operation may be required. This position is part of the Test Strips department located in Ames, IA and will be working onsite.

This is a second shift position with the following schedule Monday-Thursday, 3:15PM-1:45AM. Overtime may be required.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Maintain quality of products produced according to department standards and visual or dimensional specifications.
  • Comply with company safety policies including safe operation of equipment, PPE usage, hand tool safety, lock-out-tag-out, and proper storage of tools, etc. Comply with good housekeeping policies.
  • Meet productivity standards and communicate effectively when obstacles occur.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS diploma/GED or equivalent required.
  • Six months manufacturing production experience required.
  • Six months mechanical or machine operation experience or equivalent required
