In this exciting role as a Principal Continuous Improvement Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing processes, improving efficiency and reducing waste. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement A3 projects initiatives, support process improvements, and ensure operation excellence throughout the organization. In this position you will provide ‘Lean manufacturing principles’ guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area. As required, manage projects, requiring delegation of work and review of others' work product. This multifaceted role requires a proactive approach to process improvement and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
The Mechanical Circulatory Support Operating Unit is responsible for Medtronic’s heart pump program. Called the HeartWare™ HVAD™ System, this business provides a left ventricular assist device (LVAD) that helps patients’ hearts pump and increases the amount of blood that circulates through their bodies. The HVAD System features the world's smallest, commercially available, centrifugal flow pump.
This position is in Miami Lakes, FL. within the Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) operating unit and requires on-site presence three days a week.

A Day in the Life
In general, the following responsibilities apply for the Principal Continuous Improvement Analyst role. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Process Analysis: Evaluate existing manufacturing and business processes to identify areas for improvement, inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to production metrics, quality control, and operational performance to inform decision-making.
- Lean Manufacturing Principles: Implement Lean manufacturing techniques, such as Fishbone, 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping, to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Training and Development: Train employees on Continuous improvement methodologies and tools to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
- Project Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams, while leading and managing improvement projects from inception through execution, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Facilitate coordination of changes with applicable stakeholders, including operations, quality and regulatory.
- Reporting: Develop performance metrics dashboards and prepare reports, presentation to communicate progress, outcomes and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining high levels of quality and safety.
- Feedback Mechanism: Establish mechanism for gathering feedback from employees and other stakeholders to identify additional improvement opportunities.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree of science, in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
- Minimum of 7 years of technical experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.

- Demonstrate experience in applying continuous improvement methodologies and project management.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with various teams.
