Job Title: Lead Resource Navigator

FLSA Status: Full Time - non-exempt 
Reports to: Program Manager

Schedule: FT, varies
Supervises: Resource Navigation Staff

Rate of Pay: $27.30/hour

Close Date: 6/13/2024

Benefits: Standard; Full-Time, Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following:

Function

The Lead Resource Navigator provides leadership to the resource navigation focused support services team in Denver Metro Social Services. The role provides supervision and oversight for assessments, identifying resources in the community, developing pathways for linking people to resources, identifying community driven objectives, and participating in community resource design.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  1.  Oversee all resource navigators, resource case managers, and interns.
  2.  Assess and develop a best practice re-integration program and resource navigation for participants.
  3.  Network with and connect appropriate community resources/services.

Oversee Services and Staff

  1.  Implement and oversee services that effectively transition individuals experiencing housing displacement to greater self-sufficiency.
  2.  Manage a time-limited caseload of complex cases.
  3.  Establish standardized assessments and resource navigation.
  4.  Keep up-to-date documentation and records of all participants in the program.
  5.  Produce timely data reports, including outcome measures and quarterly reports for city contracts.
  6.  Monitor and track financials.

Network with Community Resources and Partners

  1.  Initiate networking relationships with community resources and service providers.
  2.  Encourage coordinated access/connection/linkage for participants with community resources.
  3.  Participate in community meetings and collaborations.
  4.  Promote community and for-profit involvement.

Special Projects

  1.  Offer leadership to special projects assigned by Denver Metro Social Services Director.
  2.  Must have a valid Colorado driver's license.

 

Qualification and Education Requirements:

  • Master’s degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree in human service-related field, required. Three years of experience in experience in human services, education, or related setting, may be accepted in lieu of bachelor’s degree. High School Degree/GRE required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with populations from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of local housing resources preferred.
  • Service oriented mindset, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants and staff.
  • Experience with daily, detailed data entry and reporting.
  • Strong computer skills including web-based databases, internet research and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Successfully pass background check.
  • Valid CO driver’s license and ability to pass The Salvation Army driving requirements.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, ability to manage databases, administer complex systems, and follow program policies. Ability to discern appropriate approaches and solutions in highly complex cases.
