Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee the dining services department at our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that residents receive nutritious meals while managing staff, budget, and food safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the preparation, handling, and storage of food to ensure quality and safety.

- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.

- Review and modify menus to accommodate residents' dietary needs and preferences.

- Hire, train, and coach dining services staff to maintain a high standard of service.

- Manage the dining services budget effectively.

- Create a monthly schedule, assign daily tasks, and handle time-off requests for staff.

- Ensure that all food served meets nutritional specifications.

- Estimate and order ingredients to maintain adequate stock levels.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting.

- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and residents.

- Proficient in budget management and cost control.

- Flexibility to adapt menus and services based on resident feedback and dietary requirements.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
