Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Site Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks, assist guests and team members with clear communication, and document observations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to the client by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer disturbances, medical events and/or fire and alarm conditions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, stock areas and the exterior perimeter, noting unusual activity and helping to reduce theft and/or property damage.
• Monitor access points and receiving areas, assist with queuing and crowd movement during peak shopping periods, and support store staff with security-related requests as needed.
• Complete written reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership and/or law enforcement when required, and maintain a professional presence while on post.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
