Salary range: The full pay range for this role is $22.16 to $46.82 per hour. The target range for this position is $25.00 to $30.00 per hour. We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as internal equity, candidate work and/leadership experience, educational credentials, and in some cases, candidate work location.

 

Summary: This position, under specific direction from the site manager or leadership designee, performs supervised or unsupervised field maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on one or more types of renewable energy generators. The scope may include full system installation, commissioning, maintenance, system performance evaluation and troubleshooting of power and energy systems. 

 

Required Training: Each Renewable Energy Technician will attend mandatory five (5) week training and certification course at the start of their employment. The exact duration will be determined based on experience and qualifications. The training is in Albert Lea, MN, and travel, accommodation, and expenses will be provided.

 

This position work mode is on-site and is based in Silverton, Texas.

Role

Primary Focus

On-the-Job Autonomy & Leadership

Technician 1 (Entry-Level)

Assists experienced technicians with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Focuses on learning and applying safety protocols.

Works under specific direction and direct supervision.

Technician 2 (Experienced)

Performs preventative maintenance independently and conducts routine troubleshooting, repairs, and minor upgrades.

Responsible for independent preventative maintenance. Participates in the 24-hour "On Call" rotation.

Technician 3 (Senior)

Performs unsupervised routine and corrective maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and leads teams on routine tasks.

Unsupervised execution of all corrective/preventative maintenance. May train and oversee Techs 1 & 2.

Technician 4 (Expert/Lead)

Performs unsupervised advanced corrective and preventative maintenance and leads major repairs. Acts as a subject matter expert (SME).

Trains and signs off on the competency of Techs 1-3. Assists with overseeing site crews/contractors in manager absence.
