Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol - Full Time in Maury, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic government location. In this role, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the premises, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and interact with visitors and staff to provide outstanding customer service. Utilizing your armed expertise, you will contribute to maintaining a secure environment while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and care. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or incidents.
• Monitor for any unusual activity and promptly report observations according to established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances within the government facility.
• Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and/or members of the public as required.
• Operate security-related equipment and perform access control duties as assigned for the government site.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
