Real estate is a core component of our Special Situations business. In the U.S., our team actively invests in high conviction ideas that we believe offer compelling relative and absolute value across commercial and residential real estate equity and debt in both the public and private markets.

SUMMER ANALYST PROGRAM

The Summer Analyst internship enables a highly-select group of rising seniors the opportunity to become an investor as part of a leading global investment firm. We value team players with a drive to succeed and a great sense of humor.

This real estate focused Summer Analyst will work directly with the U.S. special situations real estate team on investment opportunities over the course of a 10-week internship based in our Boston office. While this role is sector-focused, the Summer Analyst will be part of a broader internship class spanning Bain Capital’s special situations, credit and insurance businesses and will attend training and other internship class-wide programming throughout the summer.

Responsibilities Include:

• Conducting asset level and industry research
• Assisting our team in underwriting and executing acquisitions
• Assisting our team in actively asset managing our portfolio
• Contributing to Investment Committee materials (models, memos)

Qualifications:

• Current juniors (ideally with real estate interest/focus) with a strong academic record (cumulative GPA 3.6 or higher)
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills
• An interest in real estate, business strategy, financial markets, and investments
