As an Accounting & Reporting Intern, you’ll work closely with experienced accountants and support core accounting activities such as quarterly financial reporting, monthend close support, and regulatory reporting. Your work will help the team deliver reliable financial data that stakeholders depend on to make informed decisions. This internship is designed for students who want to build a strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting and see how what they’re learning in school is applied in a real business setting.
Program Details and Requirements:
Premera’s Summer Internship Program is June 15th – August 21st 2026.
To be eligible for the program, you must currently be enrolled in either an undergraduate or graduate degree program or have recently obtained your degree (within the last 12 months).
This is a hybrid internship program located on our campus in Mountlake Terrace, WA.
Internship Projects and Goals:
Learn how financial statements and reports are prepared and reviewed
Support basic analysis and process improvement work
Gain exposure to accounting systems and reporting tools
Explore how tools like Copilot or automation may support accounting work (no prior AI experience required)
What You Will Bring:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master's degree program in Accounting or a related field, or have recently obtained your degree (within the last 12 months) (Required)
Foundational knowledge of accounting principles
Attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers
Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take direction in a team environment
Ability to manage time and meet deadlines, with guidance, during monthend and quarterly reporting cycles
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar tools
