The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking Advanced Test Operations Flight Test Engineers to join our team in Berkeley, MO to support of the Test Bed Operations team and related test activities. The Test Bed Operations organization is focused on modifying, certifying, and operating experimental aircraft to be used as flying laboratories to acquire engineering research data for Boeing program customers. The Flight Test Engineering role is responsible for leading the technical aspects of planning and executing ground and flight test related activities primarily related to the development of sensor and mission systems. The role requires significant coordination with internal and external customers, suppliers, and cross-functional team members.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced, Senior and Consultant Level Advanced Test Operations Flight Test Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate aircraft modification and de-modifications requirements and timelines, FAA certification requirements, etc.
Plan, coordinate, and maintain the configuration of test assets
Develop flight test and mission profiles, author and publish test plans, create flight test cards, and manage test schedules for multiple programs and platforms
Identify and coordinate the availability of test ranges and facilities with company and government agencies
Establish test planning working groups, plan and conduct flight test readiness reviews, and conduct pre- and post-flight test briefings
Conduct ground and flight tests in accordance with established test plans and procedures
Prepare and publish test summaries and test reports
Fly onboard test aircraft to support data collection and test execution
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
3+ years of experience with flight test, flight operations, or system test
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Level 5: 10 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience as a lead engineer and/or in a leadership role
Experience with aircraft modifications, upgrades, or retrofit projects
Experience in Aircraft Maintenance and Aircraft Operations
Experience in mission systems integration and test
Active US DoD Clearance (Secret or higher)
Hold a pilot license or have pilot experience
