Summary of Position

We are seeking a Principal Platform Engineer – Web Applications & Data Platform to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade web applications integrated with modern data platforms and cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on full-stack architecture using React, Vue.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, with deep integration into Snowflake and Azure environments.

The Principal Platform Engineer will define long-term web platform strategies, build scalable applications, and ensure operational excellence across frontend, backend, and data layers. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in full-stack development, including advanced architecture patterns, performance optimization, and collaboration with DevOps, infrastructure, and AI/ML teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and support development teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture.

• Lead the implementation and optimization of web applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and data platform strategies.

• Understand and address complex technical challenges through scalable design and integration patterns.

• Exercise judgment in selecting and adapting advanced techniques to meet business and technical goals.

• Frequently advise cross-functional teams on architecture, performance, and integration best practices.

• Collaborate with business, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to define and document technical requirements.

• Document architecture patterns, performance standards, and integration protocols.

• Own the lifecycle of web application specifications and ensure timely delivery across development, QA, and operations.

• Continuously evaluate and improve system processes, architecture, and deployment strategies.

• Track milestones, activities, and dependencies across projects with frequent status updates.

• Design and build scalable web applications with robust PostgreSQL backends and Snowflake data integrations.

• Develop dynamic components and workflow engines to support extensibility and automation.

• Write and execute test plans, including unit, regression, and integration testing.

Qualifications Expected for Position

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Azure cloud platform knowledge preferred.

• 10+ years of experience in full-stack web development including React, Vue.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.

• Deep expertise in web application architecture, database optimization, and enterprise integration.

• Experience with Snowflake data platform integration, including SQL optimization and analytics connectivity.

• Experience with workflow engines, file processing systems, and open-source framework development.

• Demonstrated experience in Agile environments and cross-functional collaboration.

• Advanced skills in performance monitoring, observability, and user experience optimization.

• Experience with web application security, authentication systems, and compliance requirements.

• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

The base salary range for this position is $175,000-$195,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here:
