Position Summary:

People – Process – Technology – these three factors work together as a System to drive value in a business.  As an Enterprise Systems Specialist, you will lead programs through the art of balancing these three elements in our enterprise solutions team.  Focusing on ERP and periphery (up-stream and down-stream) systems, you will lead process and system design, development, implementation and continuous improvement of our manufacturing planning and operating systems supporting Dover Operating Companies.  With an emphasis on Lean process design and Dover best practices, you will assist Dover’s operations and supply chain organizations through refinement and growth of current systems, while driving continuous improvement to meet long term productivity, automation, and capability objectives. You will provide guidance and direction to various stakeholders in these functions, including executive and factory managers, as well as information technology leaders in our Operating Companies. 

 

We are looking for a results-oriented systems specialist to successfully integrate lean processes into enterprise resource planning and operational solutions.  The incumbent must apply a deep understanding of various levers (key process input variables) and understand the impact changes to these levers has on system outputs.  In collaboration with factory, IT and Operations Excellence leadership, you will determine which processes and/or technologies require optimization and you will lead collaborative work teams through continuous improvement efforts to drive value in the factory.

The Enterprise Systems Specialist should exhibit extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure and the ability to resolve integration issues. An outstanding Enterprise Systems Specialist will be someone whose expertise translates into streamlined business processes.

 

Enterprise Systems Specialist Responsibilities:

Design, develop and implement process and technology solutions to enable factory operations.
Act as the Technical Consultant on manufacturing programs and continuous improvement initiatives, with emphasis on ERP (Manufacturing, Planning, Inventory Management, Order Management and Supply Chain Management).
Design ERP Integration architecture, business logic, and configuration management to support business needs.
Apply your knowledge and experience of manufacturing operations in the design and configuration of ERP and its supporting systems.
Ensure user-experience is anticipated in Solution Design.  Design for ease-of-use.
Perform diagnostic tests and assist in problem-solving / troubleshooting issues to optimize System performance.
Provide technical support and training of System to end-users.
Preparing development progress updates and documenting core-ERP processes.
Adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
Keeping abreast of the latest ERP upgrades and offerings.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This role will work closely with solution experts on our ERP teams, as well as with key operational leaders across the Dover Operating Companies.  Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Define and execute a sustainable, enterprise approach to ERP process design and integration with strategic applications.
Collaborate with our operating Companies, CoE teams to develop joint application roadmaps that align to Dover’s strategic vision for ERP and ERP-related applications.
Support the development of a Dover ERP delivery methodology with a heavy focus on manufacturing operations process transformation and change management.
Provide guidance and solution recommendations to Project Managers, Engineering Systems lead, and Supplier-Partners; Influence through formal and informal networks to achieve desired outcomes.
Provide input to Project Managers to ensure effective project planning, scoping, resourcing, and execution.
Lead cross-functional teams through complex issues and key decisions to deliver standard, effe
