ApprenticeshipNH Program Specialist - North (WD/CE Community Liaison I)
Hourly Rate Range - $24.36 - $28.38
SCOPE of WORK: Provides technical and administrative assistance associated with the planning, development, and delivery of apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs and engages in outreach to internal and external stakeholders to promote such programs in the northern region of New Hampshire. This position reports to the SAEF Grant Manager.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Works with the CCSNH Workforce Training Directors, faculty and staff, ApprenticeshipNH Outreach Specialists, and Hub Developers, to assist in the design, scheduling, delivery, and monitoring of related technical instruction that includes credit and non-credit programming at CCSNH and external education providers and support the on-the-job training competencies for registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs.
- Consults and secure contracts with industry leaders and subject matter experts to develop curriculum as needed to meet program needs.
- Provides technical assistance to industry leaders, employers, and community organizations for the development, implementation, and management of registered apprenticeship programs including navigation of the Federal DOL RAPIDS system, ApprentiScope, O*net, and Apprenticeship.gov.
- Schedules, coordinates, and monitors apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship program activities including program registration days, class schedules, location for training, and orientations.
- Researches national best practices, curriculum, and online training modules available through open-source depositories that can be used as is or modified to serve the needs of NH’s industry demands and the underrepresented populations.
- Collects and analyzes data to identify trends and create solutions to address training needs including modifications to existing programs.
- Works with CCSNH faculty and staff to facilitate the course registration processes for registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs.
- Conducts outreach to industry, WorkReadyNH, and CCSNH faculty in an effort to leverage and adopt high-quality existing programs into NH’s Pre-Apprenticeship and registered apprenticeship offerings.
- Manages data and submits necessary documentation on a timely basis to complete all required or requested reports.
- Complies with all college, system, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in education, business administration, human resources management, human services, or other related degree.
Experience: Two years' experience as a teacher, occupational/workforce trainer, academic or career advisor, employment counselor, program/curriculum/course developer, and/or related experience with responsibility for program planning, monitoring, and evaluation.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in education, business administration, human resources management, human services, or other related degree.
Experience: No experience required
License/Certification: Valid driver's license or access to transportation for statewide travel.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in working in career development/coaching, curriculum designing & implementation, course evaluation, customer service, and/or business outreach. Experience working with underrepresented populations (women, minority populations, disabled, youth ages 16 – 24), and/or community-based organizations providing career coaching services is preferred.
Special Considerations: This position is eligible for remote work but requires in-person meetings and travel throughout the state with a focus on the North region.
