About the role
Position Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the CEO and Controller in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the organization, including budget control, program pricing, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting, exceptional Excel skills, and ERP experience. A CPA certification is preferred, along with experience in government contracting, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial analysis, planning, and reporting for the organization.
- Oversee and maintain the annual budget, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data and projections.
- Develop and maintain pricing models for all intellectual property and off-the-shelf items.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to the executive team.
- Review and approve pricing proposals for new programs and initiatives, ensuring profitability and alignment with strategic goals.
- Ensure financial data of manufacturing processes complies with financial policies and procedures.
- Provide financial oversight of contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee regulatory and insurance reporting requirements, including premium audits and annual insurance renewals.
- Compile and reconcile year-end 401(k) census data to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement financial programs and initiatives that support strategic goals.
- Stay updated on accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial trends that may impact the organization.
Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, with prior CPA firm experience preferred.
- Work experience with Microsoft NAV.
- Knowledge of US Government Contracting, including pricing, FAR, DFAR, and DCAA requirements.
- Experience in manufacturing and managing budget expenses.
- Proven ability to develop large financial models.
- Experience in high-growth and international companies.
- Prior senior accountant experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- Familiarity with foreign exchange transactions and reporting is a plus
