Job Description

We are seeking an experienced product leader to drive our efforts around API Security. This role requires a deep understanding of API technology and associated security risks, along with excellent strategic thinking capabilities, cross-functional collaboration skills, strong communication abilities, and business acumen. In this role, you will be accountable for defining and executing product vision, roadmaps, go-to-market plans, and driving new revenue streams while aligning with overall company goals. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, sales, marketing, customer success, and other stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes. Additionally, you may engage with external ecosystems such as developers, customers, industry experts, and other key influencers to gather insights that guide our strategy. Responsibilities:

• Define and execute product strategy for API Security, focusing on identifying opportunities for growth and differentiation.
• Collaborate with R&D and Engineering teams to develop new APIs, features, and functionality aligned with the product roadmap.
• Lead cross-functional projects by coordinating activities across various functions including Sales, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Customer Success, Support, and Operations to ensure alignment with product objectives.
• Create compelling value propositions, positioning statements, collaterals, competitive analysis, pricing models, and related materials for Go-To-Market (GTM) programs.
• Develop business cases, financial forecasts, pipeline analysis, deal analysis and impact assessments; communicate findings clearly and effectively to senior management.
• Continuously monitor industry trends, consumer behavior, and emerging research/technology areas relevant to product offerings. Utilize these insights into product planning, development and GTM strategies.
• Identify new business opportunities and revenue stream concepts to further grow revenues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university or 4 years relevant professional experience. Master’s degrees preferred. Technical degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years in a related field (e.g., product management, software development). Experience managing complex cross functional projects. Preferably with startup background working on cloud based SaaS product(s).
• Deep understanding of API technology landscape, protocols like REST & GraphQL and knowledge of Web services principles. Knowledge and hands-on experience in deploying RESTful APIs in large scale distributed environments.
• Familiarity with open source tools & frameworks commonly used to build APIs, cloud computing platforms like AWS, GCP & Azure, Containerization, microservices architectures.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $120,250 to $185,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
