As a Security Officer Flex - Retail Mall Patrol in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a welcoming presence for guests and tenants. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the location to help maintain a secure environment, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding as appropriate to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the retail or mall location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report activities and/or incidents to the appropriate authorities as required by site policy.
• Assist visitors and staff by providing directions and general information about the location as needed.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment at the retail or mall property.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
