JOB TITLE:   

UW Football Video Student Assistant

JOB PURPOSE:   

JFNTMP

Assist the football video staff with the filming and organization of football practice video, as well as other duties assigned by the video coordinator or recruiting coordinator. The primary responsibilities of this position are filming UW football practices & games, and working with the recruiting coordinator to prepare and organize recruiting materials for prospective student-athletes. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Assist the football video staff with the filming and organization of football practice video, as well as other duties assigned by the video coordinator or recruiting coordinator. The primary responsibilities of this position are filming UW football practices & games, and working with the recruiting coordinator to prepare and organize recruiting materials for prospective student-athletes. 

Please note:

This position begins July 29th. There may be brief training sessions prior to this date. During Fall Camp (July 29 – August 24), must be available 8:00 – 1:00pm. 

During fall semester (August 26 – November 28), must be available from 3:15-6:45 Monday - Thursday. Hiring preference will be given to applicants who are available during specified practice times. During August, applicants should be available to work 25-30 hours a week. During the school year, applicants will have an opportunity to work 10-15 hours a week. Individual will need to be available to work practices and home games during the fall and/or spring seasons. In addition, students may have the opportunity to travel with the team for away games. Other opportunities to work may include NFL pro day in March and summer football camps in June.

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

Education: 

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be a UW Student

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to remain calm in difficult and stressful situations
• Previous experience working with video cameras and/or Photoshop preferred but not required
