Purpose

To support the Audio/Video Team within the College of Fine Arts Dean’s Office, providing classroom/event support as well as maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Live Classroom Support: Main front line Tier 1 support call response, remediation and documentation.

  • Backend Classroom Support: Assist with preparation, installation and inventory of life cycle AV upgrades.

  • Networking Assistance: Assist with local networking infrastructure and devices.

  • Incoming/outgoing deliveries: Assist with the intake and local delivery of device inventory and tracking.

  • Repair/Replace/Maintenance: Assist the AV Team with Tier 2 support, research, repair/replace and maintenance.

  • College of Fine Arts AV Event Support: Assist AV Team with AV set-up, operation & breakdown for college events.

  • Additional Duties

    • Cage reorganization

    • CCART and Surplus runs

    • Assist SysAdmin with inventory

    • Operational checklist and Classrooms device wiki updates

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience providing IT support to a customer base.

  • Two years’ experience in customer service.

  • One year of experience in AV support.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of AV control and automation.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot AV hardware and software up to current networking protocols.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer OS (Windows and Mac).

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AV Classroom support experience within higher education environment.

  • In-depth understanding of signal flow.

  • In-depth understanding of computer networking.

  • Certifications in AV technology (Extron, Crestron, Zoom, etc).

Salary Range

$34,320 fixed rate (pro-rated from $45,760 annualized rate)

Fixed-term position (ends 5/31/27)

Working Conditions

  • On-campus only.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Climbing of ladders and stairs.

  • Use of hand powered tools.

  • Use of manual dexterity.

  • May work around electrical and mechanical hazards.

  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
