Summary of Job Duties:

The Department of Neurosurgery at the Winthrop Rockefeller Cancer Institute is seeking a Research Technician to support a clinical translational laboratory focused on improving therapies for brain tumors. The lab primarily investigates the tumor immune microenvironment, with a special focus on macrophage-driven pro-tumor mechanisms. Additional research areas include therapeutic delivery strategies and blood-brain barrier disruption.

This position requires a self-motivated individual who enjoys working independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams. The role involves interaction with both clinical and basic science researchers at the Cancer Institute and UAMS Medical Center.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required PLUS two (2) years of experience conducting tests in a research laboratory

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework or degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or related scientific discipline
