Industrial Sandblaster/Painter - Shop - Weekend Shift

For over 100 years, Maguire Iron has been an industry leader in the fabrication, construction, and maintenance of water storage tanks and elevated water towers. The Industrial Blaster will have basic skills in blasting. Must be able to measure and record blast profiles. This person will meet basic needs to organize and complete work, steadily increasing efficiency.  This person will be responsible for safety, quality, production standards and goals. 

The shift will run Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12-hour days. Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 as long as specific conditions are met! 

Essential Functions

• Have a basic understanding/knowledge of what to look for and how to check for quality.
• Responsible for a clean and safe work area.
• Mark material with proper identification.
• Ensure material coming into and going out of work area(s) is properly identified.
• Have a working understanding of our overhead hoists.
• Adhere to Maguire Iron’s PPE Policy and Safety Programs.                                                                                                      

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
• Goal Oriented, reliable, responsible for their actions.
• Able to accept responsibility for others in work area plus have good oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work safely (follow company safety policies at all times.
